Vaginal Rejuvenation

As women age, the labia loses its laxity and it may take on a deflated appearance. Like any other part of the body, the labia is also subject to wrinkling. This tends to be more noticeable after childbirth & during menopause due to the decrease in oestrogen.

Vaginal rejuvenation is a ground-breaking procedure that promises to boost volume, reduce wrinkles and add elasticity. It helps to boost body confidence and reduce anxiety with partners as well as ease discomfort during sexual intercourse!

BEFORE The Treatment

AFTER The Treatment

  • Hydration: We recommend you moisturise your skin both in the morning and evening for the seven days leading up to your treatment. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily to keep your skin well-hydrated, which can help optimise the results.
  • Vaginal health screening: Ensure you have had a normal PAP smear within the year prior to your treatment.
  • Menstruation: It’s important not to be actively menstruating at the time of your treatment.
  • Shaving: Please ensure that your pubic hair is fully shaved before the treatment.
  • Avoid consuming aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Aleve®, Celebrex®, fish oil, Ginko Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and high doses of Vitamin E for 7-10 days before the procedure, as these can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising at the treatment sites. However, regular multivitamins and Tylenol® are generally acceptable unless you have been instructed otherwise or are aware that you cannot take Tylenol due to contraindications.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before the procedure to minimise the risk of bleeding and bruising at the treatment site(s).
  • Take Tylenol® 1hour before your appointment if you anticipate discomfort.
  • Avoid sunburn as sunburned skin can be challenging to treat.
  • Always disclose to your doctor all medications, including supplements, and your complete medical history.
  • After the treatment, you might experience temporary redness, swelling, mild bleeding, tissue tightening, and warmth sensations for a few hours. You might also notice light spotting, mild burning, itching, swelling, or cramping for a few days.
  • For the treated area, wash your skin gently twice daily with a mild cleanser and pat it dry, avoiding scrubbing.
  • Refrain from having intercourse for a week and avoid inserting anything into the vagina, including tampons, for the same period. Don’t use douches, cleansers, suppositories, or any other vaginal products for a week.
  • Avoid Jacuzzis, tub baths, swimming, tanning beds, self-tanning creams, and heavy exercise for a week.
  • For at-home care, use hydrocortisone cream as needed for itching and antibiotic ointment for any sores or irritated areas. You can apply an ice pack for discomfort, but limit it to 10 minutes per hour with a cotton barrier.
  • Stay hydrated and consider taking Tylenol for any discomfort.
